Arvind Kejrival: An inspiration & a Revolution!
I still
remember the day when I was lying on my bed & watching some news channel.
The media was showing some man being carried & thrashed away by the police
at the Jantar Mantar- yes, you are guessing it right, I’m talking about Mr.
Arvind Kejrival- the man who wrote the history.
Every common man was frustrated
& irritated by the way the whole system is working. But, all that they did
was just comment on Facebook, liked others posts on corruption… & felt,
their job is done. No one ever tried to enter the system & change the way
it was… but one common man had the guts- ARVIND KEJRIVAL- the man with
different ideas… different perspective.
About 2
years back, hardly anyone would have heard this name but today, hardly anyone hasn't heard it. He came into play when he demanded the implementation of JAN LOKPAL BILL along with Anna Hazare & many other prominent personalities. He
is well known for his contribution in the drafting of the JAN LOKPAL BILL. He
has also contributed significantly to the bringing of RTI ACT to grassroots
level in 2006. But his popularity grew during 2012 revolution.
Someone from
the then govt. commented on his demand of a clear cut talk with the govt. - “Hum sadak pe baithe logo c baat ni krte…
agr baat krni h to election lado, jeeto… aur parliament me aa kr kro”
& to everyone’s surprise he did it. He fought against Sheela Dixit (the
then CM) & defeated her with a margin of about 25,000 votes.
This clearly shows how
unpredictable life is. Just a blink of eyes & the whole scenario gets
redefined…
Many people
commented that Arvind Kejrival is a power- hungry & a greedy guy…&
that’s why he is doing all such things. But the question is, had it been so,
why did he resign from his post? He was working for the Indian Revenue Services
(IRS) as Joint-commissioner of Income Tax Department where he could have
collected tons of bags full of money. He was not interested in making money…
but in making a difference. He challenged the authority, took a stand… was
mocked at & criticized for his acts & even got beaten up by the police
but he didn’t give up & today, he has the authority.
“If you
don’t give up… you cannot fail…”
“You are not defeated
when you get a hit & fall down… you are defeated when you refuse to get
up...!”
The uprising
of Mr. Arvind kejrival is a great source of inspiration for all those who feel,
“what can I do all alone”
“If you too feel that
you are too small to make an impact…
Try going to bed with a
mosquito in the room…”
Many will
still criticize him… but I don’t feel it is going to make any difference in his
attitude. He was criticized & questioned before as well & he hooked all
the bouncers of opposition’s questions quite easily as well as quite
graciously.
“Never be afraid of
opposition… airplane always takes off against the wind… not with it”
“IIT in first attempt..
IRS in first attempt..
CM in first attempt..
One & the only - Arvind
Kejrival.”
& here, most of the people even
fail to start their vehicles in the first attempt.
Anyways,
whatever you say, you can’t rule out one thing… - This man has high
determinations”
He did what
he said. He promised that this rule is going to be of common people & he is
keeping his words. He rejected the ‘LAL BATTI’, high security, special Cars
& all other such stuff. He even travelled to the oath ceremony via Metro.
He is clearly indicating that he will work for common men being a common man.
Yes,
democracy has been redefined & this man did it!
“The
circumstances are with Mr. Kejrival
The youth is
with Mr. Kejrival
India is
with Mr. Kejrival!”
He proved the authorities that:
“Don’t underestimate
the power of a common man”
His attitude
determined his altitude.
His attitude
looked like:
“The game is yet to
over because I am yet to win”
#respect for
this man.
