The sick Indian mentality

“India- the country that is giving all-round performance. Take any field- academics, sports, production- we are doing a great job.”
-         This is how most of us watch India as. No doubt all this is real… some even question that why India is still being referred to as a developing country, what else development they want?
True. Indians have reached every corner of the world; they are doing great in their respective fields. The United States of America has a great percentage of Indians working in their country. Even Bill Gates appreciated Indian minds. He once said, “If I stop hiring engineers from India… soon, the world will find another Microsoft of Indians!”

Nothing more is required to be added. The statement speaks for itself!
But as they say, “Every coin has two sides!” is there any dark side too of this emerging INDIA?

Perhaps yes! Not perhaps, certainly yes!! Let’s find out the darkest black spot on our India.

The job is not that tough, in fact, it’s too easy. All you have to do is to tune to any news channel of your choice & watch it for just about 5 minutes. You’ll see headlines related to rapes, bride burnt alive for dowry, acid attack on some girl, eve-teasing & other stuff like molestation. Hundreds of such cases are reported every day & even more go unreported & of course, they are left unreported for obvious reasons.
And, still some say- “Mera Bharat Mahan…”- BULLSHIT!!!!

On one hand, the society says girls are blessings… & on the other side, the society makes them suffer so much.  That’s why no girl is today allowed to go out late at night, & whenever they are allowed to go out- someone accompanies them for their safety purpose. Even when, they have no fault! They are made to suffer because they are girls. And, we say there is no gender- discrimination. O yeah?

A girl has to think so many times before even buying a dress for herself so that she doesn’t have to face all that creepy comments. They are judged by the way they dress.
If you too judge a girl by the way she dresses- you seriously need to visit a psychiatrist! A girl wearing short dress doesn’t describes her… it describes your mentality!!

Whenever such topics are raised everyone blames one common thing - SOCIETY. But while doing so, what we forget is- WE ARE THE SOCIETY!!

We live in a country where a drunk guy lying on the road goes unnoticed& a girl just standing near a boy will be stared at like hell!! Grow up guys… it’s a Democracy. Everyone has right to do whatever they wish to do. Eve-teasers also have this reply that its democracy… they are free but perhaps, they don’t know that the democracy allows you to act freely but doesn’t allow you to speak rubbish about others- it’s a crime!

Everyone needs to take a stand against such inhuman activities. The guys need to control their actions- they need to change their mentality. The girls need to speak up against such incidents- the more you’ll ignore it… the more you’ll face it!

“The world suffers not because of the violence of the bad people… but because of the silence of the good ones!”

Moreover, it just doesn’t ends here. People have started enjoying such kind of news… keep enjoying till you become the victim. If you won’t speak against it, someday in some way, you too will face it.
Any girl who reports such crime is given such a grave look, society stops giving respect to her. What the heck is this? She is just a victim… not the reason. Change your mentality!!!!
Some say the laws should be strict in order to avoid such incidents. Are the current rules & laws lenient?

“Good people don’t need laws to act responsibly… & bad people will surely find
some way around these laws!”

But the question is why do we even need any laws for such incidents? Can’t we see that it’s not right? And if that is so, the laws won’t make a difference!
People need to be taught as to what’s unacceptable. Those who are involved in such creepy activities- don’t forget tomorrow you too will have a wife, a daughter. How will you feel if they face the same?
The answer is quite obvious. So change else you’ll end up ruining many lives including your own!

“Every girl deserves to be respected- it’s not just our duty… it’s her birth right!”

“Try being the guy you want your daughter to be with…”

Still feel we are developing or developed?? I don’t think so…
